Modeled after Southern Pacific autoracks, this freight car is inspired by the enclosed cars used to move new automobiles across SP routes in the western United States. Their tall, multi-level design made them an important part of automotive freight service between assembly plants, distribution centers, and western markets.
Handcrafted by real railfans, our wooden trains are designed as durable, child-friendly toys made for years of play and often treasured as keepsakes and heirlooms. While safety and durability always come first in our designs, each piece is still inspired by the look and spirit of the real train.
