Burlington Northern Autorack

Modeled after Burlington Northern autoracks, this freight car is inspired by the tall enclosed cars used to transport new automobiles across BN’s network from the Pacific Northwest through the northern Plains and Midwest. Autoracks allowed large numbers of vehicles to move efficiently by rail while protecting them during long-distance shipment.

Handcrafted by real railfans, our wooden trains are designed as durable, child-friendly toys made for years of play and often treasured as keepsakes and heirlooms. While safety and durability always come first in our designs, each piece is still inspired by the look and spirit of the real train.
