EJ&E Boxcar - 3"

Modeled after Elgin, Joliet & Eastern boxcars, this compact 3-inch freight car is inspired by the general-service cars used on the EJ&E belt railway around the Chicago industrial region. Its EJ&E heritage ties it closely to steel mills, factories, and interchange freight moving around the city rather than through downtown Chicago.

Handcrafted by real railfans, our wooden trains are designed as durable, child-friendly toys made for years of play and often treasured as keepsakes and heirlooms. While safety and durability always come first in our designs, each piece is still inspired by the look and spirit of the real train.
