Red Undecaled Mega Boxcar - Vault Edition

An oversized red boxcar without graphics from the retired Mega line.

Back in 2006 we tried making wooden trains about 20% larger than our standard line while keeping them compatible with the same wooden track. The bigger toys became a whole second line to build, so we eventually retired the experiment.

We have been asked for unfinished trains for years. These retired pieces give you a chance to make one your own: paint it, draw on it, glue on details, or decorate it however you like.

This piece has a semigloss clear coat, unlike the more matte clear coat we normally use over our graphics. Permanent markers may be an easier way to add your design to this surface.

Part of our Vault Collection: pieces retired long ago or made in very small runs. Some were never publicly sold. These are the remaining pieces, and we will not make them again.

Note: These older pieces may have chipped paint or decals from age. They are sold as-is and will not be repaired.
