Illinois Central Gulf Series 44 Boxcar

Modeled after Illinois Central Gulf Series 44 boxcars, this freight car is inspired by the general-service cars used to move packaged goods, paper products, and manufactured freight across the ICG system through the Midwest and South. Its Illinois Central Gulf heritage connects it to an important era of freight railroading between the original Illinois Central and today’s Canadian National.

This Series 44 version is sized in proportion to our C44 diesel engine, giving it a larger body than our smaller freight cars and a better match for that locomotive.
